The Otter, now in its 6th year, has grown to become an iconic event on the international calendar and regarded as Africa’s flagship marathon distance trail event. Part of the allure of the race is that the Otter Trail itself is off limits to runners outside of the organised event and the opportunity to run the famous OTTER 5 day Hiking trail has seen participants dub it the “Grail of Trail”.
