Plettenberg Bay is one of the top vacation spots in South Africa. It is surrounded by mountains, and has miles of white sandy beaches. The bay is filled with dolphins and seals, and at certain times of year the whales come here to mate, and frolic in very shallow waters just outside the line of breaking surf. Comparable in beauty to Carmel in California, this has to be rated as one of the most beautiful destinations in the world.
